'Technical issues in Vahan, Sarathi portals being addressed'

Sopore, Jul 29 (KNO): Jammu and Kashmir Transport Secretary Avny Lavasa on Wednesday said that all vacant positions in the Transport Department have been referred for recruitment and the process is expected to be completed at the earliest. Secratary Lavasa, speaking to reporters during surprise visit to ARTO HQ Sopore, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said the department is continuously reviewing pending applications and identifying bottlenecks at the field level to ensure faster disposal of cases. She said technical issues affecting the Vahan and Sarathi portals are being addressed and necessary directions have been issued to concerned officials to minimise pendency and improve efficiency. Lavasa urged people to make maximum use of online transport services and avoid unnecessary visits to transport offices. She said the department is working towards providing seamless, faceless and hassle-free services to citizens. On staff shortages in the department, Lavasa said vacant posts have already been referred for recruitment and the process will be carried out in a transparent manner. She reiterated that improving digital governance, ensuring accountability and strengthening public service delivery remain key priorities of the Transport Department across Jammu and Kashmir—(KNO)
